My book is now officially FREE on Amazon! With Start Writing Your Book Today: A Step-by-Step Plan to Write Your Nonfiction Book, from First Draft to Finished Manuscript, I hope you inspire and guide you through your own book-writing process,. There’s no better time to start than today.
As a writing coach, I love to be with writers from the very beginning of a project, when everything seems so unclear and yet so exciting, all the way through to the finish line. I can’t coach every one of you, but it was my goal to package up every bit of writing advice that I would give you while on coaching calls and put it into a practical, accessible book.
Because it’s time for you to write your book today.
There’s no magical, mystical, miraculous process to writing a book, but you do need a determined mindset, good writing habits, and a solid timeline. You’ll have to work through a first draft, a reverse outline, a second, and a third draft. You’ll need to pull in accountability, editing help, and beta readers. It seems overwhelming, but it’s completely doable.
I lay every piece out for you in the book and walk you through, step-by-step. No more excuses. You’re ready to write your book.
For the next 5 days, the book is FREE on Amazon.
During this launch week, I’m offering the book free because I want to get copies into the hands of as many people as possible. (You don’t have to have a Kindle to read it. You can read it right off the Amazon website or on the Kindle app on your iPhone/iPad.)
If you’re considering reading the book, go ahead and download it from Amazon now.
And let a friend know that she can grab a copy for free this week, too.
Reviews are worth more than gold
A lot of people think it’s crazy to launch a book for free, but I’ll let you in on my goals, and they don’t involve money. My goals for this week are:
- For people to read the book and pass it on to their friends
- Reviews on Amazon
Several of you have already emailed me and let me know that you’d like to buy the book (not download for free) because you want to support me and the blog. Obviously, you guys are the best blog readers a gal could ask for! :) But, more important to me than 70% of a $4.99 book is an Amazon review.
For self-published authors, Amazon reviews make or break a book. Every single review counts.
If you’ve enjoyed this blog and if you find the book valuable, the best thing you can do for me is to leave an Amazon review. You can be totally honest about whether you think the book is worth one star or five stars, but leaving a review is pure gold.
Catch this week’s webinar about 7 mistakes writers make
As part of the book launch week festivities, I’m hosting a live webinar tomorrow (Tuesday): “7 Mistakes Writers Make Before They Even Start Writing Their Book (And How You Can Avoid Them).”
If you’re thinking about writing a book, you absolutely need to know the most common mistakes that I see writers make over and over again. The best part is that they’re easy to avoid, if you know how.
Register for tomorrow's webinar here: http://startwritingyourbooktoday.com/iwantin
PLUS, there’s a bonus available at the end of the webinar: a full disclosure behind-the-scenes video of how I wrote my book – my Scrivener set up, how I organized the book, my writing schedule, my unique motivation system that kept me going from first draft to finished manuscript, how to solicit feedback from beta readers, how to upload onto Amazon, and how to get reviews – the whole shebang!
But you can only gain access to the video if you catch the webinar (or the replay, but you still need to register in order to get access to the replay).

Last thing – thank you
Thank you for being an unbelievably awesome, supportive community. I would never have written this book, if it weren’t for you. Knowing that you’re on the other side of the screen – that’s what makes this whole writing gig worthwhile.
Now, let’s start writing that book of yours, shall we?
Let me know –
Are you going to start writing your book today?
I expect to see at least one “Hell, yes!” in the comments. :)
